About us
Professor Hubert Lacey leads our multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, occupational therapists, teachers, dieticians, family therapists and psychologists providing comprehensive, personally tailored care.
Each service user will be under the care of a consultant psychiatrist with many years of specialist experience in the treatment of eating disorders. All of our consultant psychiatrists have a local and national reputation for the treatment of anorexia and bulimia.
As specialists in the treatment of eating disorders with a highly skilled and experienced team, we provide a high quality and comprehensive programme of care.
Our facility, Newbridge House, is a welcoming domestic setting, distinct from the hospital environment where eating disorders have been traditionally treated.
We have a classroom, a dining room and domestic kitchen and a large, private garden.
We have newly refurbished, purpose-designed therapy rooms to deliver our programme of outpatient therapy. These private therapy rooms in our residential, suburban facility offer patients access to specialist help, without the stigma of more traditional mental health settings. We can provide evening therapy sessions to meet the needs of people with work or educational commitments during the day.
An eating disorder has an enormous impact on the whole family. We are committed to a family centred approach – involving, communicating with and supporting the family throughout the whole treatment programme. We offer family therapy, provided by experienced specialists in eating disorders.
