Newbridge assistant psychologist secures place on prestigious Oxford course
Newbridge assistant psychologist Cat Houlihan has gained a place on the highly sought after Oxford Doctoral course of Clinical Psychology at the University of Oxford.
Medical director Professor Hubert Lacey commented: “This is a real coup for Newbridge – to have one of our Assistant Psychologists accepted on such an excellent and exclusive course.
“Competition for places is extremely high.”
Cat has worked at Newbridge House as an assistant psychologist for a year and will remain with the service until September 2014.
Growth of psychology team
Two new assistant psychologists have been appointed, increasing the team, which is now four-strong.
“One of the many strengths of Newbridge House is having a team of assistant psychologists, which means we can play a key part in the very comprehensive group programme and carry out research.
“I am so grateful to Newbridge and without the experience I have had here and the excellent mentoring and support, I would not have gained the place on the Oxford course.”
