Newbridge knitters in Children in Need fundraiser

Young people at Newbridge took part in a collective crochet, together with other activities to raise money for Children in Need.

Eight people helped to create a large piece of crochet knitting and many joined in jewellery making. There was a guess the name of the monkey activity and a rainbow theme to all the food made and served during the Children in Need day.

Susan Edwards, assistant occupational therapist, who organised the activities, said: “We have a number of young people who are talented and keen craftspeople and they were keen to take part in activities to support Children in Need.”

Nationally, Children in Need had a record-breaking year, with a total of £37 million raised.
