Dr Victoria Crooks
Dr Victoria Crooks is a Clinical Psychologist who leads the psychology team at Newbridge House. She has 20 years of experience in providing therapy and psychological interventions for a broad range of mental health problems, including her specialism in eating disorders. Dr Crooks is a visiting expert lecturer at the Universities of Warwick, Birmingham, Leicester and Coventry. She lectures on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) and Eating Disorders. She has recently started lecturing, marking and supervising on the Postgraduate CFT diploma.
Completing her Clinical Psychology Doctorate at the University of Birmingham, Dr Crooks worked in forensic services before moving into the eating disorders field. Dr Crooks’ approach is founded on being person-centered and compassionate, combined with multi-disciplinary working and evidence-based practice.
